Digital Retinal Imaging is done instead of dilating your eyes for an exam. Please click here for more information
$125 - A contact lens exam is comprised of specialized tests like measuring the cornea's curvature and pupil size, performing a tear film evaluation, and a contact lens fitting. These steps ensure the lenses will provide clear vision, fit your eyes properly, and that your eyes are healthy enough for contact lens wear.

The Refraction test is when Dr. Atkins does the "better 1, better 2" testing to determine your new or updated glasses Rx.

Refraction tests are typically associated with comprehensive eye exams. Medicare (Part B) does not cover routine eye care, only medical health checks, so you will be responsible for the fees associated with refraction tests. In addition, Medicare (Part B) does not cover the cost of glasses or contacts.
There are other plans that may cover this type of test such as Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C). Before you enroll in one of these plans, make sure they cover the services for which you are interested. You may still be responsible for a co-payment for certain types of tests, including a refraction test.
